Pyro is the biggets Metal program on Norwegian national radio.
As you can see it's pretty obvious where to find the band info, pictures
and music but for everything else go to the Backstage area. The Backstage
is home to gig dates, band announcements, Audrey Horne trivia and more.
A little bit messy just like most backstage areas are.
The Audrey Horne Logo.
If the site logo looks downright ugly it's because your using Internet Explorer 6 or an even older version. Since version 7 Internet Explorer has added support for png graphics with transparency which renders the logo as intended. Sorry, but blame Microsoft for taking so many years to catch up with the rest of the world. :)
"Le Fol is tuneful, uplifting and peppered with intelligence. You'll need to think of Tool-lite with occasional flourishes of Alice In Chains, mixed in with some genuinely startling movements that play as unpredictably as Newcastle United's defence". (Steve Beebee]
Metal Hammer. [8]
"Pretty much every track gives rise to unforgettably catchy hooks and choruses, each one mainlining into your system as though the contain some kind of isotonic, euphoria-inducing elixir."
"Le Fol is still the most self-possessed and captivating rock album since...... their last one." (Jonathan Seltzer)
Classic Rock [8]
"The plight of foreign rock bands who are struggling to get a fair hearing
equal to their American or English counterparts is nothing new."---
"That's a shame, because it means records like this mammoth follow-up to
2005's impressive 'No Hay Banda' get overlooked - and you cannot afford to
miss the longboat on this one."
"Opening salvo 'Last chance for a serenade' is a stomping lead-in to the
angular attack of 'Jaws', the swaying balladry of 'Last Call' and the soaring choruses
of 'Monster'. On the surface these all seem suspiciously palatable, but it's
really on tracks like album closer 'So Long Euphoria', where what seems
at first to be a standard post-rock opening suddenly morphs into a trumpets
Audrey Horne's inimitable musicianship from the rooftops." (Alexander Milas)
"Audrey Horne are a world class rock band with charisma to burn."
Metal Hammer - 8/10
"A must for fans of early Alice in Chains..."
Plan B - 5/6
"...noe så unorsk som en storslagen rockeplate med internasjonalt potensiale.
Dette er ei skive som må høres høyt!"
Dagbladet - 5/6
"Confessions
& Alcohol er en moderne versjon av tyngden til Soundgarden og de
lange, seige og melodiøse linjene til Alice In Chains. "Listening" veier
et tonn, helt på kanten av det vi tåler, men Audrey Horne lar seg ikke
friste over i det banalt harde."
Metal Heart - 10/10
"No Hay Banda ist eines der Alben, bei dem einem von der ersten
Sekunde an die Kinnlade runterklappt!"
"Audrey Horne", the third album from Audrey Horne, is everything you'd expect and much more from the Audrey Horne powerhouse. It's simply the best Audrey Horne album ever!
Produced & Mixed by Joe Barresi, who also mixed the debut album "No Hay Banda".
Metal Hammer (Ger) 6/7 "...das erste große Highlight des Jahres..."
RockHard 9/10 "...moderner Classic Rock allerberster Reife..."
Metal Hammer (UK) 8/10 "Their third album builds on the depth and complexity of their predecessors, taking steps in new directions at the same time"
Ice Vajal - Music Land - Metal World 9/10 "Everybody who likes heavy riffs, catch vocals and is into classic rock with a slightly modern sound, will dig this one!"
As we approach the release of "Audrey Horne" we'll serve you tasty tidbits of songs and artwork from the new album.

Audrey Horne in studio.
In the middle of September Audrey Horne went to Los Angeles to start recording their third album, titled "Audrey Horne", with producer/engineer Joe Barresi at his JHOC (Joe's House Of Compression) Studio.
Two weeks of intensive work followed and by the end of the sessions the band had put down the drum tracks, guitars and vocals for the entire album. Back in Bergen the bass and keyboards were added along with a few additional guitar and vocal takes at Conclave & Earshot Studio, before it was sent back to Joe Barresi for final mixing.
Keyboards were once again performed by the brilliant Herbrand Larsen (Audrey Horne, Enslaved) and Eyolf Nysæther (Audrey Horne session musician), and bass was expertly performed by Espen Lien (Barbie Bones, Slut Machine, Trinacria.) Percussion by Jørgen Davidsen.
Check the Backstage area for more about the LA recording sessions.
Audrey Horne plays powerful, heavy, melodic, in-your-face hard rock,
with an attitude! The band was formed late in 2002. Live, they
are a self-confidante energy bomb, and a nice break in today's jungle
of shoe gazing rock bands.
For their debut album "No Hay Banda" Audrey Horne received
two Norwegian Grammy nominations in the categories for Best Newcomer
and Best Metal Act, and took home the Grammy for Best Metal Act!

& Alcohol, the single from No Hay Banda. (External link, Flash

Audrey Horne's home base is Bergen, Norway, a town made (in)famous by
bands like Immortal, Enslaved, Gorgoroth and other great metal bands
in recent years.
Audrey Horne, although a different type of metal band from the other
bands mentioned, is every bit the quality act you've come to expect to
come out of this town, and they pack a powerful punch!
Don't leave without having visited The Music section and tasted the
Audrey Horne music.
